As a premier event tracking the latest developments in electronics manufacturing, NEPCON has long recognised the considerable market impact of German manufacturing equipment. For this reason, NEPCON embarked upon close collaboration with Verband Deutscher Maschinen und Anlagenbau (VDMA) very early on in our formative days. Thereafter during each annual occasion, VDMA has been organising renowned VDMA member enterprises and brands to take part in NEPCON. According to statistics compiled by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, from January to August this year, fixed assets investment in the local IT manufacturing sector grew by 11.7% year-on-year, rising 0.6 percentage point. This encapsulated 7.8% investment growth for the electronics and telecommunication equipment manufacturing sector, which has been under the combined effects of the “consumption promotion” scheme, new infrastructures, commercial application of 5G, artificial intelligence, digital transformation and so on during the second half of the year ushering new opportunities for the electronic and IT manufacturing industry.

Clearly, it would be a case of the early bird getting the worms. VDMA evidently sees this cannot be a more opportune time to help German companies to march into the China market in force. Hence, VDMA is rendering strong support for the contingent of German firms who are making their presence in NEPCON China 2021. Every German electronics manufacturing company or brand taking part in NEPCON China 2021 will be granted direct VDMA subsidy of €330/㎡to cover the cost of exhibition space (inclusive of preparation costs for the German Pavilion). This is more than 20% boost from last year’s €260/㎡, making it the highest subsidy support ever for the German contingent.

When the strong VDMA support measure for exhibition is targeted at a Chinese electronics manufacturing industry of unequaled potentials, this is without the slightest doubt the best time for German electronics manufacturing companies or brands to join the German contingent to NEPCON China 2021. It will most certainly prove to be the golden key for the exhibiting German electronics manufacturing companies or brands to open the door into the lucrative China market!
