At an intelligent storage facility in Suzhou, dozens of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) are efficiently performing goods sorting tasks. According to the Electronic Expo, when the system detects low battery levels, these intelligent devices autonomously navigate to charging zones and perform "contactless recharging" through non-contact energy transfer. This breakthrough in charging technology, which disrupts traditional charging methods, is derived from the magnetic resonance wireless power system developed by Qingdao Luyu Energy Technology.
1. Technical Breakthrough in Industrial Applications
As a pioneer in industrial-grade wireless charging technology in China, Luyu Energy’s self-developed fourth-generation wireless charging system has achieved 200A high-current transmission, with charging efficiency exceeding 92%. The system adopts a unique electromagnetic coupling design that enables stable operation even in explosion-proof environments like petrochemical sites. Li Dan, the company’s founder and CTO, stated, “Our weather-resistant charging modules can operate in extreme environments from -40°C to 85°C, completely eliminating the electrical spark safety hazards associated with traditional contact charging.”
Founded in 2014, this tech company initially targeted the consumer electronics market but swiftly shifted its focus to industrial applications. “Industrial equipment demands power that is more than 100 times that of consumer electronics,” Li Dan recalled. “In 2017, we conquered kilowatt-level wireless power transmission technology, and at that time, market acceptance was under 5%. Today, we have served over 200 manufacturing clients.” The company’s product portfolio now covers three main series: explosion-proof, high-protection, and smart-scheduling models. It has completed 47 demonstration projects in industries such as automotive manufacturing and smart logistics.
2. Future Vision through Technological Extension
With the release of the High-Quality Development Outline for New Energy Vehicle Charging Infrastructure, Luyu Energy is extending its technological expertise to the transportation sector. According to the Electronic Expo, the company is testing a "dynamic wireless charging" system that allows electric vehicles to charge while in motion on specific road sections. Li Dan revealed, “Our wireless charging project for parking lots, in collaboration with a major OEM, has entered the testing phase, with a 15% improvement in charging efficiency over industry standards.”
Industry data shows that the global wireless charging market is expected to surpass $12 billion in 2024, with industrial applications accounting for 38%. Experts from the China Power Supply Society pointed out that Luyu Energy’s technology path holds a first-mover advantage, with its innovative multi-coil array design solving the low positioning accuracy problem of traditional solutions.
3. Building a New Industrial Ecosystem Paradigm
In terms of technical standards, Luyu Energy has led the development of three industry technical specifications, and its adaptive impedance matching algorithm has significantly improved energy transfer stability. The company plans to build Asia’s first megawatt-level wireless charging equipment production line within the year and establish a joint laboratory with universities, focusing on the development of 85kHz high-frequency electromagnetic control technology.
“From industrial equipment to new energy vehicles, wireless charging is reshaping the way energy is supplied,” Li Dan envisioned. “In the next five years, with the development of vehicle-road collaboration infrastructure, charging while driving will become a reality, which will completely change the energy replenishment logic for electric mobility.” It has been revealed that the company’s next-generation products have received CNAS certification and are soon to be applied at scale in smart ports, unmanned mines, and other scenarios.
